Aurelio Arley Sanchez                                                                   Bio

I have been a newspaper journalist for 35 years at the Albuquerque Journal, the biggest daily paper in New Mexico. He has written thousands of stories on beats including, police, general assignment, minority affairs, suburbs, neighborhoods, features and arts.

He has also had poetry and short fiction appear in Clackamas Literary Review, Glimmer Train Press, Yellow Medicine Review, New Mexico Poetry Review, and Conceptions Southwest.

 He has written a poetry collection entitled “Of a Dream Catcher,” and a collection of short stories, “Parable of the Sun and the Wind.” His stories and articles have also appeared in New Mexico Magazine, Tradicion Revista, and Impact Magazine. 

      His poetry book "Of a Dream Catcher" received "honorable mention" in Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Awards. His short story "Parable of the Sun and the Wind" was among 2004 Top 25 Glimmer Train Stories.
